Google Partner Utah SEO, AEO & digital marketing agency
Search engine marketing

Both halves of the same search result.

Paid at the top, organic underneath, bought and earned by one team working from one keyword list.

Run Digital runs search engine marketing for Utah businesses, which means the ads and the rankings are handled together rather than by two vendors who never speak. Same keyword research, same landing pages, same conversion tracking, one report. Flat monthly fee, and your ad spend goes straight to Google from an account with your name on it.

Why Run

Three things we will put in writing.

Every agency says they are different. These are the three we will be held to, on every engagement, from the first month.

01

The accountability factor

A standing meeting cadence, real project management, and deliverables with dates on them. You always know what shipped, what is in flight and what slipped.

You decide if we earn our seat at your table every month. There is no contract asking you not to.

02

A customized solution

Not the same keyword list and the same three ad groups everybody else gets. What people actually type, and what you actually make on the job, decides where the money goes.

Ask for something specific and the answer is usually yes, built for you rather than pulled off a shelf.

03

Actual technicality

Not a sales rep, then a success manager, then an account manager relaying your question to someone who can answer it.

You talk to the people in the ad account.

Why SEM beats buying the halves separately

Two agencies, bidding against your own rankings.

The usual setup is an SEO agency and a PPC agency who have never met. The PPC side bids on terms you already rank first for, paying for clicks you were getting free. The SEO side writes pages nobody tested, while the ad account sits on live data about which words actually convert. Both invoice you. Neither sees the whole result.

Search that keeps compounding

  • Ad and analytics accounts registered in your name
  • A keyword list built from what people actually search
  • Bids set against where you already rank
  • Organic pages built from live ad data
  • Wasted search terms cut every week
  • Measured on booked revenue, not on clicks

Search that quietly drains budget

  • Ad accounts owned by the agency
  • A keyword list copied from a competitor
  • The same bid on every term, every month
  • Ads only, so nothing compounds between them
  • Negative keywords reviewed quarterly, or never
  • Reporting that leads with clicks because revenue is unknown
Your numbers, not ours

The arithmetic of one keyword.

Most businesses have never worked out what a single search term is worth to them, which makes every bid and every page a guess. Put your own numbers in and see what one keyword pays back.

What is one keyword actually worth?

Take these straight out of Google Ads and Search Console. No benchmarks, no assumed lift, nothing here that we are claiming. It is the arithmetic of one month.

Your numbers.

0click through to you
0people enquire
0become customers
0from one month of search
0a year, if nothing else changes

This is arithmetic, not a forecast. What it is genuinely useful for is working out which number to attack. In most businesses raising the share of visitors who enquire moves this far more than rewriting ad copy does, and that is not where the effort usually goes.

The part nobody puts in the pitch

Paid search buys you tomorrow. Organic buys you next year.

Ads work the day you switch them on and stop the day you switch them off. Organic takes months and then keeps paying. Run alone, each one has an obvious failure mode: the ad account that becomes a permanent tax, or the rankings that take so long the business runs out of patience. Run together, the ads carry you while the organic compounds, and the ad data tells you which pages are worth building.

In your name, from day one

  • The platform account, in your business name
  • Every keyword and search term report
  • Ad accounts registered to your business
  • The conversion history you have built
  • Campaign structure, pages and tracking
  • Click and conversion history for every term

What you find out you were renting

  • A seat inside the agency's platform tenancy
  • A list you can only see in their dashboard
  • Mail sent from a shared agency domain
  • A reputation that stays with them
  • Templates you cannot export
  • History that ends at the handover
In-house capability, agency price

Do you want to manage two agencies?

Search done properly is somebody doing keyword research, somebody writing and building pages, somebody in the ad account every week pulling waste out, somebody who understands conversion tracking, and somebody senior deciding where the next dollar goes. Most businesses solve that by hiring two agencies and refereeing between them. Brian has twenty years in search and marketing operations. Quinn came up in house where organic was the entire business model. You are renting that team, once.

Building it in-house

Five hires
  • Recruiting, onboarding and managing every one of them
  • Salaries, benefits, payroll tax and platform seats
  • Your time spent approving ad copy
  • Nobody who actually understands quality score
  • A channel that goes silent when one person is busy

Run as your team

One monthly fee
  • Keyword research, ads, pages and tracking covered from day one
  • A flat package price, not a percentage of anything
  • Thirty years of combined marketing experience
  • No contract, no notice period, no hiring risk
  • Everything built stays in accounts you own

The Utah picture

A state where the search results change every month.

Utah keeps adding people and keeps adding businesses, which means the competitive set on any given search term is not the one you looked at last year. Every figure below is published and linked.

17.9%

population growth over the past decade against 6.2% nationally, second fastest of any state. A continuous supply of people with no incumbent supplier.

USAFacts, US Census data
99.4%

of Utah businesses are small businesses, 371,569 of them. Most have a customer list sitting unused in a spreadsheet or a point of sale system.

SBA Office of Advocacy, 2025
45.4%

of Utah employees work at one of those small businesses, about 690,069 people. Search is the cheapest way any of them gets found by a new one.

competitors, and you can reach your customers without outbidding a single one of them.

That is the argument for working both halves of the result at once.

What the work actually is

Eight disciplines of search engine marketing.

This is the list you would otherwise be splitting across two agencies.

Shared keyword research

One keyword list that decides what gets bid on and what gets built, instead of two lists that contradict each other.

Google and Microsoft ads management

Campaign structure, bids and budgets in accounts registered to your business, with the spend going straight to the platform.

Search term and negative keyword work

The weekly job of reading what people actually typed and cutting the matches that waste money. This is where most accounts quietly leak.

Pages built for the terms that convert

Landing pages and site pages written against the queries the ad data proves are worth having, not the ones that sounded good in a meeting.

Technical SEO and site speed

Crawling, schema and Core Web Vitals, because a slow page costs you twice: once in rankings and once in ad quality score.

Conversion tracking that both sides trust

One measurement setup feeding one definition of a lead, so the ad account and the organic reporting are not arguing about what happened.

Bid strategy against organic position

Pulling bids back where you already rank first and pushing them where you do not, which is only possible when one team sees both.

One report covering both

What search produced in total, paid and organic together, and what it cost to get it.

See it in motion

The half of the page most agencies ignore.

Search is the channel where intent is highest and where buying and earning are usually handled by people who never compare notes. Doing both from one desk is unglamorous and it is most of the advantage.

How the work runs

The first ninety days.

Search goes wrong at measurement far more often than at creative. This is the order we work in, and it is the same for every client.

01

Measurement first

Conversion tracking, call tracking and Search Console connected and verified before a dollar moves. If the current numbers cannot be trusted, nothing built on top of them can be either, so fixing that is step one.

Your accounts, your data
02

Clean the list

Wasted and irrelevant search terms handled before they drag the rest of your quality score down with them. Usually the least popular and most valuable week.

You keep the lists
03

Build a structure that keeps working

Campaigns, ad groups and landing pages matched to intent, so a search for a price and a search for a supplier do not land on the same page.

04

Earn the free results as well

The pages, content and profile work that win the organic and map results sitting above and below the ads.

05

Report against revenue

What each campaign and each page produced. Impressions, clicks and positions are how we diagnose, not what we report as the result.

Run Digital team member reviewing a printed SEO report

The findings get written down. You keep them either way.

What we run today

Thirty-five clients. Four years. One roof.

35Active clients whose marketing we run right now
4 yearsRunning this model under one roof, with the same team
30 yearsCombined marketing experience, agency side and in-house
0Clients whose ad accounts we own instead of them

Those are counts, not projections. We have deliberately not printed an industry click share or a return figure on this page, because published averages across every industry tell you almost nothing about your market. The calculator above uses your numbers instead.

If you want to see specific client campaigns, ask on the call and we will pull real reporting rather than a designed graphic.

Run Digital team presenting local search results to a Utah client
Search engine marketing across Utah

Salt Lake, Utah County, and the rest of the Wasatch Front.

We run paid and organic search together for businesses in Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, Lehi, St George and the towns between them, plus clients who sell nationally from a Utah address.

It does not work alone

Search feeds everything downstream.

Search produces the highest intent traffic you will get and returns the least if nothing catches it. These are the things that decide what happens after the click.

Marketing automation

Does the follow up that gets skipped when the week gets busy.

CRM

Keeps every enquiry in one place so none of them quietly go cold.

Acquisition and LTV

Works out what a customer is worth before you decide what one is worth buying.

Local Services Ads

Google charges you per lead and decides what counts as one. We run the profile, the disputes and the pacing.

Before you ask

SEM questions we get every week.

You do, and that is not negotiable. Campaigns are built in a Google Ads account registered to your business with your billing on it. If you leave, the account, the history and the conversion data stay with you. An agency that builds in its own account is holding your performance history.

Usually yes, and we would rather inherit an account than start fresh, because the search term history is worth more than a clean slate. The first thing we do is read what you have actually been paying for.

Mostly you should not, and this is the single biggest saving when one team runs both halves. Where you hold the top organic result we pull the bid back and let the free click do the work. Where a competitor outranks you, or the result is buried under ads and a map pack, we buy the position until the organic catches up.

Three to six months before it moves meaningfully, longer in competitive categories. That is exactly why we run paid alongside it. The ads cover the gap, and the ad data tells us which pages are worth building rather than guessing.

PPC and SEO each start at $399 a month at Hyper, $699 at Starter and $1,249 at Advanced, and you can mix levels. Running both at Starter is $1,398. The fee is flat and never a percentage of your ad spend, so when your budget grows our invoice does not.

No, and nobody should tell you it is. Spend goes straight from your account to Google. We do not mark it up and we do not take a cut of it.

You can, and sometimes that is right if they are good. Be aware of what you lose. The whole argument for SEM is one keyword list and one set of conversion data. If two vendors own the halves, somebody has to referee, and that somebody is you.

You see the search terms and the rankings every month, so you will know before we tell you. There is no contract asking you to stay. If search is the wrong channel for your business we would rather say so early than bill you for another quarter of it.

Start with the free search audit.

We will look at what you are bidding on, what you already rank for, where those two overlap and what it is costing you, and tell you which half needs the money first.
