Build an audience you keep.
Run Digital runs organic social for Utah businesses as a way of building something durable rather than feeding a feed. The profiles, the content and the audience data stay in accounts registered to your business, and the whole point is converting borrowed reach into contacts you own.
Three things we will put in writing.
Every agency says they are different. These are the three we will be held to, on every engagement, from the first month.
The accountability factor
A standing meeting cadence, real project management, and deliverables with dates on them. You always know what shipped, what is in flight and what slipped.
You decide if we earn our seat at your table every month. There is no contract asking you not to.
A customized solution
Not a content calendar that could belong to anyone. What your customers actually want to see from a business like yours decides the plan, and so does how much your team can realistically sustain.
Ask for something specific and the answer is usually yes, built for you rather than pulled off a shelf.
Actual technicality
Not a sales rep, then a success manager, then an account manager relaying your question to someone who can answer it.
You talk to the people making the content.
Followers are not an asset. They are a lease.
Every follower you have is held on your behalf by a company that has never promised you access to them. Reach gets throttled, accounts get restricted by mistake, formats fall out of favour, and none of it is something you get a say in.
That does not make social worthless. It makes it a top of funnel channel that is very good at finding people and very bad at keeping them. The mistake is treating a follower count as the goal rather than as a step.
So we run organic social to do two things: be worth following, and move people somewhere you can reach them without asking permission. That is the difference between a channel and a hobby.
Social that builds something
- Content made for the people you want as customers
- A reason to give you an email address or a number
- Profiles complete enough to convert a stranger
- Reviews and proof visible where people check
- A cadence your team can actually sustain
- Measured by contacts gained, not by likes
Social that just fills a feed
- Posting because it is Tuesday
- Follower counts reported as progress
- A bio with no reason to click anything
- Comments and messages nobody answers
- Three weeks of effort then six months of silence
- Engagement rate presented instead of revenue
Borrowed reach versus reach you own.
This is arithmetic on your own audience. It assumes nothing and it is not a scare tactic. It just shows the split that most businesses have never actually looked at.
How much of your audience is actually yours?
Followers are borrowed. An email address, a phone number and a customer record are not. Put your own numbers in and see the split.
Your numbers.
No platform has ever promised you that reach, and several have quietly taken it away. This is not an argument against social. It is an argument for using it to build something you keep.
Never let anyone else hold the account.
Hiring an agency to run the content is normal. That is not the problem. The problem is who is listed as the owner of the profiles while they do it.
Social accounts are the easiest asset in marketing to lose by accident. An agency sets up the page under their own Business Manager, the account manager who had access leaves, and a year later nobody can log in to the profile with eleven thousand followers on it. We have been called in to recover exactly this more than once.
We take admin access to profiles you own. Every piece of content we produce is delivered to you in source. Fire us on a Friday and you still post on Monday.
In your name, from day one
- Every profile, with your business as owner
- The Business Manager, in your name
- All content produced, delivered in source
- The content calendar and what it is built on
- Audience and insight data in your accounts
- Email and SMS lists grown from the audience
What you find out you were renting
- Profiles created under the agency's account
- Admin access that disappears with a staff change
- Content you only ever received as a finished post
- A calendar that lives in their project tool
- Insights you can only see in their reports
- An audience with no way to contact them directly
Do you want to manage five marketers?
Organic social done properly is a strategist, a writer, someone who can shoot and edit, someone answering comments and messages, and someone senior deciding what is worth saying this quarter. Most businesses hand all five jobs to whoever is youngest.
We built our careers inside in-house teams before we built this one. Brian has twenty years in agencies. Quinn came up in-house at large publishers. That is the team you are renting time on, without the hiring risk or the learning curve.
Building it in-house
Five hires- Recruiting, onboarding and managing every one of them
- Salaries, benefits, payroll tax and software seats
- Your time spent reviewing captions instead of running the business
- Output that stops the week somebody is on holiday
- A voice that changes every time the person does
Run as your team
One monthly fee- Strategy, writing, production and community covered from day one
- A flat package price, not a percentage of anything
- Thirty years of combined marketing experience
- No contract, no notice period, no hiring risk
- Everything built stays in accounts you own
Two of the five seats you would otherwise be recruiting for.
A market small enough that word travels.
Utah is unusually well networked. Reputation moves faster here than in most markets, which makes social worth doing properly and expensive to do badly. Every figure below is published and linked.
of Utah businesses are small businesses, 371,569 of them. Social is one of the few channels where a small company can outperform a large one.
SBA Office of Advocacy, 2025population growth over the past decade against 6.2% nationally, second fastest of any state. A steady supply of people who do not know you yet.
USAFacts, US Census dataof Utah employees work at a small business, about 690,069 people. They are your customers and often your audience as well.
SBA Office of Advocacy, 2025businesses in one state, most of them posting. Being present is not the same as being worth following.
SBA Office of Advocacy, 2025Eight disciplines of social media management.
This is the list you would be hiring five people to cover.
Social media strategy and brand voice
What your business should sound like and what it is worth saying, decided before anybody writes a caption.
Content creation and scheduling
Photo, video and graphics produced in enough volume to keep a real cadence rather than a sporadic one.
Copywriting and captions
Written for the person deciding whether to trust you, not for a hashtag strategy.
Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn profiles
Bios, links, highlights and pinned content set up so a stranger can work out what you do and how to buy in ten seconds.
Community management and user-generated content
Comments and messages answered, because an unanswered enquiry on social is the same lost lead as an unanswered form.
Audience growth and conversion
Reasons to join a list or book something, so the reach turns into contacts you can reach without permission.
Reviews and social proof
The proof that actually moves people, collected and put where they look, backed by the tap cards and stands.
Reporting against contacts
Followers gained, yes, but mostly contacts added and enquiries produced. Reach is a means, not a result.
Content that earns a second of attention.
The bar on social is not whether something is good. It is whether it is better than the next thing in the feed, which is a much harder test.
Things we give away.
We would rather be useful before you hire us than persuasive. Take any of these whether or not we ever work together.
Social audit
We review your profiles, your content and your conversion paths, and write down what is working and what is decoration.
FreeTap to review cards and stands
Physical NFC cards and counter stands that send customers straight to your review page. We print them and send them to you.
FreeContent templates
The formats and briefs we work from, so your team can produce decent content without paying anyone to plan it.
FreeWebsite migrations
Stuck on a platform you do not own? We will move the site for free. Getting you onto your own infrastructure is the point.
The first ninety days.
Social rewards consistency far more than it rewards brilliance. This is the sequence, and it is the same for every client.
Accounts and access
Ownership of every profile confirmed in your name, with a Business Manager you control. If anything is sitting in somebody else's account, recovering it is step one.
In your name from the startDecide what is worth saying
The handful of things your business is genuinely better placed to say than anyone else. Everything else is filler and we would rather not make it.
One page, agreedFix the conversion path
Bio, links, highlights and a reason to give you an email address. Reach with nowhere to go is the most common thing we find.
Publish at a sustainable cadence
A rhythm that survives a busy month. Consistency beats volume, and a channel that goes quiet for six weeks has to start again.
Report against contacts gained
What the channel added to lists you own and what it produced in enquiries. Follower counts are context, not the result.
The findings get written down. You keep them either way.
Thirty-five clients. Four years. One roof.
Those are counts, not projections. We have not put a follower growth rate on this page, because it depends on your market, your offer and how much genuinely interesting material your business has. The calculator above uses your numbers instead of ours.
If you want to see specific client accounts, ask on the call and we will show you real ones rather than a case study graphic.
Salt Lake, Utah County, and the rest of the Wasatch Front.
We run organic social for businesses in Salt Lake City, Provo, Orem, Lehi, Ogden, West Jordan, St. George and across the state. Utah audiences are tightly connected and quick to notice when a business is saying something real rather than filling a slot.
That cuts both ways. It is easier to build a genuine local following here than in most markets, and much more obvious when a feed is being filled by somebody who has never been to the business.
Reach is the start. Something has to catch it.
Organic social finds people who were not looking for you. Whether that turns into anything depends entirely on what happens next.
Email and SMS
The cheapest channel you own outright, and the one most often left running on autopilot.
Marketing automation
Does the follow up that gets skipped when the week gets busy.
Acquisition and LTV
Works out what a customer is worth before you decide what one is worth buying.
Social questions we get every week.
You do, always. We take admin access to accounts owned by your business, never the other way round. This is the single most common way businesses lose a social presence, and it is entirely preventable.
At a cadence you can hold for a year. Three good posts a week that never stop beat daily posting that dies in March. We will agree the rhythm against what your business can actually supply.
The ones your customers use, which for most Utah service businesses is a shorter list than the pitch usually implies. We would rather run two properly than five badly.
A flat monthly package rather than a per-post price, with current pricing on the packages page. If social is not where your customers are, we will say so on the call.
Longer than anyone selling it likes to admit. Profile and conversion fixes show up quickly. Audience building is a six to twelve month exercise, and anyone promising faster is usually buying followers.
Yes, and for some businesses that is the better answer because you are closer to the work. Ask for the templates. Some clients have us handle strategy and community while their team shoots, which is a legitimate way to buy less from us.
A little, as social proof when somebody checks you out. But a thousand local people who might buy is worth more than ten thousand who never will, and neither is worth as much as a list you own.
There is no contract, so you leave whenever you want and keep every profile and every piece of content. We would rather tell you in month four that your market does not live on social than keep billing you to post into it.
Start with the free social audit.
We will look at your profiles, your content and whether any of the reach has somewhere to go, then write down what we find. You keep the audit either way, and if social is the wrong channel for your business we will say so. Prices are published, so you can see what this costs before you speak to anyone.
