Asset Ownership and Handover Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026. This policy sets out, asset by asset, how section 8 of our Terms and Conditions applies in practice. It is published so that you never have to ask us what happens to your accounts if you leave, and so that you can compare our answer to anyone else’s before you sign anything.
The rule in one sentence
If we build it, buy it or set it up for you, it is yours, it is in your name, and it keeps working after you stop paying us.
We do not rent assets to clients. We do not hold logins back as leverage. We do not keep a copy of your account as a condition of leaving. There is no exit fee and no buyout.
Every asset, named
Your website and its code
Files, theme, templates, page builder licence content, database and hosting account. On request we hand over hosting credentials or migrate the site to a host of your choosing. Nothing in the site phones home to us or stops rendering when our account is removed.
Your domain name
Domains are registered in your business name wherever the registrar allows it. If we registered or currently hold a domain for you, it is still yours. We will push or transfer it to a registrar account of your choosing on request, at no charge, and we will supply the authorisation code. We do not use domain control as a retention tool.
Your Google Ads account
Your Google Ads account sits under your own customer ID with your billing on it. We hold manager access, not ownership. When you leave we drop our manager link and your campaigns, conversion history, audiences and quality signals stay exactly where they are. You do not restart from zero.
Your Meta and other social advertising accounts
Ad accounts, pages and pixels live in your Business Manager, not ours. We are added as a partner with the access the work requires. Removing us removes our access and nothing else.
Your analytics and tracking data
Google Analytics 4 properties, Tag Manager containers, Search Console properties, conversion actions, offline conversion imports and the historical data they hold are all yours, created under your account where the platform allows it. Historical data is the part people forget. It is the part you cannot buy back, so we never put it in an account you do not own.
Your Google Business Profile and other listings
You stay the primary owner of the profile. We work as a manager. Directory and citation listings we build or clean up are created with your business details and your contact email, so they survive us.
Your CRM and contact database
Contacts, pipelines, deal and conversation history, call and SMS logs, notes, tags, forms, and email and SMS templates are your data. You can request a full export in a standard format such as CSV at any time, not only when you are leaving, and we will provide it within five business days. If you want to move to a different CRM we will give you the export and help you map the fields.
Your phone numbers and call tracking
Tracking and forwarding numbers we provision for you are yours. On request we release them for porting to you or to a carrier of your choosing, and we hand over the call records and recordings we hold. A number you have put on a truck, a yard sign or a van wrap does not belong in someone else’s account, so we do not treat it that way.
Your merchant and payment accounts
Payment processor, gateway and checkout accounts are opened in your business name, under your legal entity, with your bank account attached. We never take custody of your money and we never route your customers’ payments through a merchant account of ours. Our access, where we have it, is limited to the configuration needed to make checkout and invoicing work, and it ends when the engagement ends. Your transaction history stays with your processor, under your login.
Your content and creative
Copy, photography, video, graphics, landing pages and ad creative we produce for you become yours once paid for. On request we hand over source files, not just the exports: layered design files, raw and edited video, and the original photography.
Your automations and workflows
Forms, follow up sequences, review request campaigns, reporting dashboards and any AI agents we build are built inside accounts you own. They keep running after we stop. Where an automation depends on a third party subscription, we tell you which one and what it costs before we build it, so there are no surprises on your way out.
Your reviews and reputation assets
Review profiles, request links, QR codes and the replies we publish on your behalf are yours. Reviews belong to the business that earned them.
What stays ours
We keep the things we brought with us: our own methods, checklists, templates, internal tooling, software licences and know how. Where our tooling touches your accounts, you keep the output and the data and we keep the tool. We may describe the work in general terms in case studies unless you ask us not to. If you ask, we take it down.
The 30 day handover guarantee
Our agreements run month to month. Either side can end the engagement with 30 days written notice. That notice period is not a lock in. It exists because an orderly handover takes real work: closing out campaigns, transferring ownership on a dozen platforms, releasing phone numbers, and exporting data.
So we put a commitment on it. Within those 30 days we will transfer to you every account and asset named on this page, in working order, together with the ownership transfers or logins you need to keep using them without us. If we have not completed that handover by the end of the notice period, we refund your final month of service fees.
The guarantee does not cover delays caused by something we are waiting on from you, or by a third party platform’s own transfer process once we have submitted the request. Where a platform controls the clock, we will show you the submitted request.
